On the Sunday morning December 20th 2009, The Hearing Impairment Club of HCM C celebrated Christmas with a party for over 100 people including over 60 club members, 30 volunteer students from the Medicine Department of the Medical school, 9 Social Work students of Humanities and Social Sciences University and 4 scouts at 28 block I, Vinh Hoi quarter Precinct 6, district 6.
To begin, the club chair person talked about the reason for the party, introduced participants, and said a big “thank you” to all students and members who took their time to attend this celebration.
All participants were gave a random number from 1 to 7 to divide them into 7 different groups so that they could played games together.
And finally, they have a contest called picture drawing. Pictures were drawn from the topic of love. All of the groups drew something – 1 group drew Christmas Father with an extremely big pocket which contained lots of presents for children, some groups also drew family gatherings, a happy love couple hand in hand on Christmas night. Besides that, there was a special show (modern dancing,) performed by medical students, it was the favorite item of the celebration.
The jury awarded 7 prizes for all groups,, which include the first, second and third prize, 4 consolation prizes, and an special one for the best dynamic group. While everyone was waiting for the result, Santa Claus appeared, he said hello and “Merry Christmas” to every body, awarded prizes and took photographs with each group.
At the end of the celebration, representatives said thank you to the volunteer students for their kindness and enthusiasm in making sure that every body got such a great Christmas Party.
Some club members also expressed their feeling, they said that they were really impressed with the volunteers’ exuberance. The representatives of two student groups shared their thought, telling everyone it was a pleasure to celebrate Christmas with the club and hope they will hold a Christmas party with joy and presents next year.
